🎄🎉🎊 Happy Holidays! 🎊🎉🎄

I trust everyone has had a wonderful holiday season. I hope you have had a lovely time with friends and family.

I've enjoyed some quality time with the family over the holidays. This December has been full of good fortune, not only have I been crowned Monopoly champion of the family but also because of...

🎓 The Last LuL Meeting of 2016 🎓

The last meeting with the core members of the Let Us Learn campaign was a rather reflective one. We discussed how far we had come as a campaign, expanding and reaching more people in London than ever before.

From trips to conferences in Texas to Dublin to the successes we have had in London, from speeches at the Mayoral Assembly to our recent success with the scholarships campaign attracting positive attention from universities like Westminster and King's College London.

We saw it fit that we celebrated our hard work with a bowling outing followed by a cheeky visit to Nandos 🍗🍗🍗

🍻🍴 ChemSoc Christmas Dinner 🍴🍻
Another December only means one thing to Chemists across college: The ChemSoc Christmas Dinner! Tickets for this year's dinner were in fierce demand, with the first batch selling out as quickly as they were announced.

It was great fun getting on the dance floor with lecturers, PhD students and undergraduates alike. The food was amazing (a lot better than it was last year!) and it was fun to get to get together with colleagues outside the university setting.

📢 OpenXEastEnd - TED Talks 📢
About two months ago, I applied for the opportunity to speak at the independently organised TedX event at Hackney Empire called OpenXEast End. Getting through the two-stage audition process was tough, I was over the moon when I was told I was selected as one of the main speakers for the event.

Receiving mentoring and guidance as to how to tailor my speech into a TED Talk is something that I am very grateful. My story and that of other young migrants in the UK will be the main bulk of my speech and the aim is to shed some light on how the odds are stacked against migrants all over the world and whether that's the world we want to live in or not.

The other speakers are amazing! Feel free to have a look on the website 👉🏾 http://www.tedxeastend.com/event2017/👈🏾. The event will also be recorded and will be available for viewing after the event on 27th February 2017.

🎇🎆🎇 HAPPY 2017 🎇🎆🎇

Thank you for reading my blog and wishing you and your family prosperity and good fortune for the coming year... Until next month!
